Electron Excitation Rate in Dielectrics Under an Intense Elliptically Polarized Laser Field

Electron excitation in dielectrics is studied for an elliptically polarized laser field. As the first step, we develop analytical formula electron rate under as extension of our previous work [Otobe et al., J. Phys. Soc. Jpn. 88, 024709 (2019)]. In next calculate depending on band structure by assuming direction dependence reduced mass. We find that although ellipticity decreases significantly isotropic system, energy oscillation electrons due to intra-band dynamics anisotropic increases with higher ellipticity. Our results indicate can control varying ellipticity, anisotropy.
